IPv6
So the IPv4 addresses are gone, did you notice?
Probably not, since for now it won’t affect most of you, it will however affect you in the future, and a lot of people who will not be able to get an IPv4 address, they will only be able to get ipv6 addresses.
IPv4 and IPv6 are two different Internets, this means that if you need to talk to someone who is on IPv6, you also need to have IPv6, the same applies in the other direction, if you only have IPv4, you can only talk to people on IPv4.
This also means that if you are on IPv6 you can only access services that are IPv6 enabled.
Luckily a lot of populair sites are IPv6 enabled, For example Google and Facebook both have an IPv6 version. (Note if you do not have IPv6, you will not be able to reach those links)
Well this post is to inform that if you are on IPv6, you can now also reach my fantastic and very exciting webpage. Just head over to ipv6.eldaria.net
Thanks to my recent Router upgrade to an Apple Time Capsule, and an IPv6 tunnel account with http://www.tunnelbroker.net/ my site is now IPv6 enabled.
